The course that has been nominated for the award is ‘Surveillance for Custom Install’ training. This accredited course focuses on the core elements of HD IP cameras and Network Video Recorders (NVRs). The aim of this training is to leave Home Automation dealers and installers feeling confident about using LILIN security solutions in their custom installations.

Whether a novice or an expert, this course can be used to gain an understanding of the benefits of LILIN technology which can be utilised to help you win new business.

LILIN recognised a need to support Home Automation dealers and installers, and ultimately wanted them to feel confident when using LILIN solutions. Surveillance for Custom Install training was actually developed from an earlier LIILN training programme, IP Bootcamp, which was designed to help installers transitioning to IP.

IP Bootcamp is another popular LILIN training initiative. By the end of this non-sales focussed session, security installers are able to successfully specify and set up an IP system. LILIN are pleased to have received acknowledgment for their ability to deliver truly valuable and free training to installers. The carefully structured course addresses topics such as; introduction to IP, upgrading from analogue to IP, understanding IP architecture, benefits of PoE and live demonstration and training. IP Bootcamp has received a number of positive testimonials, and in particular has been praised for its ‘hands on’ nature: “Excellent demonstration and hands on experience on the basics of IP based CCTV installations.
